UK government publishes Armenia trade data: British exports nearly double
The UK government has published its updated trade and investment factsheet on Armenia. In the 12 months from April 2025 to March 2026, trade in goods and services between the two countries totalled £139 million. This was up 43.3%, or £42 million, on the same period a year earlier.
The growth came from UK exports. UK exports to Armenia rose by 88.9%, or £56 million, to £119 million. Of this, £75 million (63%) was goods and £44 million (37%) was services. Goods exports grew by 78.6% and services exports by 109.5%.
UK imports from Armenia fell by 41.2%, or £14 million, to £20 million. Services accounted for £19 million (95%) of the total, down 44.1%. Goods imports amounted to £1 million.
As a result, the UK’s trade surplus with Armenia reached £99 million, compared with £29 million a year earlier. Armenia is the UK’s 144th largest trading partner and accounts for less than 0.1% of total UK trade.
Clothing was the UK’s largest goods export to Armenia at £22.6 million, followed by cars at £14.8 million and footwear at £5.9 million. Exports more than doubled in all three categories. Aircraft led UK imports from Armenia at £970 thousand.

In 2025, bilateral trade totalled £128 million, up 37.6% from 2024. The UK’s share of Armenia’s imports rose by 0.4 percentage points to 0.8%.
At the end of 2024, the stock of UK foreign direct investment in Armenia stood at £2 million, while Armenian investment in the UK stood at £1 million.
