Armenia’s securities market on October 9: AMX summary

Government bonds saw 4 trades worth $1.34 million and AMD 44.3 million (about $122,400) on the Armenia Stock Exchange (AMX) on October 9. Corporate bonds changed hands in 91 trades across 58 issues worth AMD 387.5 million and $1.05 million.

A single trade was made in Ministry of Finance Eurobonds (EUBDB5), maturing on February 2, 2031, at a price of 88.54% and a yield to maturity of 6.70%. Ministry of Finance AMD bonds saw 3 trades, the largest in bond GB1133A, worth AMD 39.8 million at a yield to maturity of 8.40%.

Team Holding dollar bonds (TMHDB3) led corporate bonds by volume with $509,100 in 4 trades at a yield to maturity of 8.75%. Armeconombank bonds (HEZBBM1) led AMD issues with AMD 65.7 million, followed by Electric Networks of Armenia bonds (HELCB5) at AMD 62.9 million and Fast Bank bonds (FSCRBN) at AMD 44.4 million. Viva Armenia bonds (KTELB1) saw the most trades: 7 trades worth $209,700. Yields on AMD bond trades ranged from 6% to 12.8%.

Shares saw 8 trades worth AMD 231.2 million. Almost all turnover came from a single trade in Yerevan Champagne Wines Factory shares (ESHG): 11,110 shares at AMD 20,702, worth AMD 230 million. ACBA Bank shares (ACBA) saw 3 trades worth AMD 1.2 million; Unibank (UNIB), Tel-Cell (TLCL), Telecom Armenia (AMTL) and ASCE Group (ASGR) shares also traded. There were no repo trades.

The AMD Corporate Bond Market Index (CBMI_AMD) was unchanged at 104.55, while the AMD 1–3 Year Corporate Bond Index (C3YBI_AMD) rose 0.01% to 103.66. The USD market index (CBMI_USD) fell 0.04% to 101.68, with a yield to maturity of 4.99%, and the USD 1–3 year index (C3YBI_USD) also lost 0.04% to 101.22.

On AMX, the corporate bond market totals AMD 1.06 trillion and market capitalisation AMD 352.5 billion. A total of 276 securities of 64 issuers are listed and admitted to trading.

According to AMX, the US dollar was at AMD 361.93, the euro at AMD 404.72 and the Russian rouble at AMD 4.2413.
