Fertiliser, seed and soil

Russia’s EuroChem has supplied fertiliser to Armenia for more than 8 years but is taking part in this exhibition for the first time, together with its Armenian partner Novator. Tatiana Grebennikova, director of the marketing department, said annual deliveries have grown from 4 thousand to about 30 thousand tonnes, about 60% of Armenia’s mineral fertiliser market. At the fair the company wants to talk directly to farmers; every year before spring fieldwork it runs seminars with Novator in 4 provinces, each attended by more than 50 large farmers.

The Association of Seed and Planting Material Producers, set up two years ago, has 32 members: seed growers, seed sellers and farmers. Its president Ishkhan Hovsepyan said the association wants to build a value chain in which breeders sell varieties under plant variety rights and seed producers pay them royalties; Armenia has been a member of UPOV, the International Union for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants, since 2024. The association aims for all crops to be sown with certified seed.

Narek Gareginyan, founder of Safe Agro, produces fertiliser and chicken meat in Syria, practises regenerative agriculture and wants to apply its methods in Armenia as well. His aim is to create a union of farmers and companies interested in these methods.

Animal health

Russia’s Federal Centre for Animal Health (FGBI ARRIAH) is presenting its vaccines and diagnostic test systems to Armenian specialists. Deputy director Lyudmila Kirova said the centre supplies Armenia with poultry and cattle vaccines, including against foot-and-mouth disease, under specific contracts, in hundreds of thousands of doses, and volumes have grown from last year. Its official distributor in Armenia is Novator; the centre also works directly with the Ministry of Economy, which oversees agriculture in Armenia.

Novator (director Areg Maghakyan) is exhibiting with its partners EuroChem, the Federal Centre for Animal Health and Austria’s Saatbau. Novator employee Shushanik Ghazaryan said the company has imported everything agribusiness needs for more than 10 years, distributes products of more than 10 manufacturers from Russia, Georgia, Austria and other countries, and works with more than 200 farmers.

Regulus Zoo has imported veterinary drugs, vaccines and feed additives since 2011 and represents about two dozen manufacturers in Armenia. Company representative Levon Eghoyan said the company meets 100–150 farmers and vets a week to properly present its partners’ products.

Arman Ohanyan, president of the National Association of Veterinarians (47 founders, more than 80 members), said about 470 mid-level vets work in Armenia’s agriculture, which is not enough. The association holds courses 2–3 times a year for senior vets, who then train colleagues locally.

Agritech

The Agrobot Centre of Excellence at the Armenian National Agrarian University showed devices and startups built and programmed by students: a greenhouse harvesting robot that uses AI to tell whether fruit is ripe, a “shepherd dog” based on a robot dog, and a multispectral drone for greenhouse monitoring. Grisha Ghurshudyan, a second-year student of the Agromechatronics and Precision Robotics programme, said the university received 270 thousand euros from the World Bank, which paid for the programme and the equipment.

GoShuka lets farmers sell directly to Yerevan residents without resellers. Founder Viktor Mikhailov said the platform, launched two months ago in Syunik, Armenia’s southern province, has 550 registered users, about 80 active farmers and 140 products; it will soon expand to Lori and then Tavush in the north.

HGH Agro Drones (agrodrone.am) provides drone spraying services. Its representative Harutyun Harutyunyan said that last year, working with the state, the company sprayed 9 thousand hectares of forest and took part in locust control; this year it moved into agriculture and has treated more than 200 hectares of fields with 9 drones.

Food and drinks

Ijevan Wine and Brandy Factory CJSC, founded in 1951, is showing not only wines and brandies but also canned food: juices, compotes, jams, eggplant caviar, adjika and marinades. Artyom Zarayan of the marketing department said the plant has made canned goods since around 2013–2014; most are exported, mainly to Russia, and they have been supplied to Armenian supermarkets only for the past two years or so, so for many buyers they are still new.

Ruben Topalyan, founder of Alcosphere LLC, is presenting the Accent brand spirit (40% ABV), made with the company’s own technology, which it is in the process of patenting. The company was founded in 2022, and production began at the end of 2025.

Professional presentations

The exhibition’s information partner, the NGO Made by Armenians, is holding professional presentations on “Exporting to different countries: market research”, “Exporting to different countries: standards and certificates”, “Financial management and accounting software opportunities for SMEs” and “Taxation specifics in agriculture”.
