Armenia’s annual inflation at 4.4% in August, producer prices up 8.9%
According to preliminary data from the Statistical Committee of Armenia, consumer prices in August 2026 were 4.4% higher than in August 2025. Compared with July, prices rose by 0.2%.
In January–August, the consumer price index stood at 104.5% compared with the same period a year earlier. In 2026, annual inflation peaked in April at 5.3% and was lowest in January at 3.8%.
From May to July, consumer prices fell month on month by 0.8%, 0.5% and 1.4%, respectively. In August, prices rose month on month again.
Industrial producer prices rose by 8.9% year on year in August and fell by 0.2% compared with July. In January–August, the index stood at 108.8%. In 2026, annual growth in producer prices ranged from 7.9% (April) to 9.5% (February and March).
The dram traded at AMD 365.48 per US dollar in August, compared with 366.89 in July. In 2026, the dram strengthened against the dollar every month, from AMD 379.98 in January. The average rate for January–August was AMD 372.29.
